This wine shows a different approach to aging of Plavac Mali - it is kept for a very long time in barrique barrels, and equally long in bottles. Plavac Mali Reserve is a wine with character, dominant and harmonious and also well rounded. It is ripe, but with adequate fruitiness. Nicely developed and long lasting nose in direction of dried dark fruit, berries and stone fruits, but also herbal and smoky. Finish is long and lingering, with a pleasant bitterness. It is best served with traditional game meat, grilled meat, pašticada and ripe cheese, but also with dark chocolate.
